International Education – Good Teachers A Must To Make This System A Success

It is wrong to state that students shall benefit the most from emphasis on international education. Well, the education system functions not on the basis of demand by students but on the basis of presence of faculties. Teachers form the backbone of any and every education system and international education is not an exception to this rule.

Theoretically, schools following the international education curriculum should find it easy to get teachers. After all, they have global pool of talent to search from. However, the large number of teachers is only going to make it difficult to identify the right person.

Further, the person who is in charge of importing international education should be a product of the same type of education. How else will the teacher overcome cultural and other issues when imparting education?

Expecting parents to trust in a completely new form of education which does not even meet their cultural expectations and requirements is asking a lot. These two factors make it very difficult for education institutions to find the right faculty. Another important aspect that one must consider is the question of pay and remuneration for talent. Why import a poor teacher from America to provide international education to students in India?

At the end of the day, this is going to be a counterproductive move. On the other hand, to expect Indian parents to pay for an American teacher working at American level wages may end to be an economically unfeasible proposition.

All these issues and problems will have to be sorted out before international education becomes the standard norm. The good news is that other systems too faced this problem in past and have overcome the same successfully.
